Gaining Our Dignity with Parks is the founder of the 5K and an official Friends Group of the New York City Parks Partnerships Department.*

Gaining Our Dignity with Parks " GODWP" is focused on advocating for neighborhood parks. The organization is made up of local citizens who consistently maintain our parks and transforms our parks into dynamic community assets. Many of these activities take place through It's My Park Days "IMP".

Brookville Park IMP Day

Gaining Our Dignity With Parks cleaned Brookville Park by picking up trash and raking leaves all over the park.

Nautilus Playground IMP Day

Gaining Our Dignity With Parks cleaned the playground and painted the fences and benches.

Brookville Park 5K & IMP Day

Gaining Our Dignity With Parks will help coordinate the 5K and facilitate the IMP Day activities after the race.
