Registration is free. However donations are accepted. All procedes will go toward year long activities that support the park and all those who wish to train for the next 5k.

The Brookville 5k was created by the NYC Park Friend's group "Gaining Our Dignity with Parks. The group's mission is to support NYC park stewardship.

The Brookville Park 5K Walk/Run has been established to support running as an important exercise and to provide an organized event for the many daily runners in the park and beyond. The race was also created to raise the awareness of Brookville Park and all it has to offer.
